The JVC XV-M5GSL 5-Disc DVD changer focuses on style without compromising quality and performance. The JVC XV-NP1SL is optimized for the higher audio sampling frequency of 192kHz, providing extra-wide dynamic range to realize the benefits of high-spec sources. The 10-bit, 54MHz super high video sampling frequency ensures detailed images and clear, pure colors for DVD movies. In addition, with seven parameters to adjust, the Video Fine Processor (VFP) provides exceptional versatility in fine-tuning images to personal preferences.

The new high-resolution on-screen graphical user interface (GUI) allows Windows-like interactive operation with tool bars superimposed onto the TV screen for simple point and click operation. For digital camera enthusiasts, the JVC XV-M5GSL plays back JPEG files from a CD-R or CD-RW. Other convenience features include 1.5X playback with sound and 6-step high-quality zoom. Topping off the convenience features is Screen Fill, which zooms in on a DVD image to eliminate letterbox bars on the TV screen.

What Is Multiregion?

The XV-M5GSL is a worldwide multiregion player. In addition to your USA domestic discs it will play any DVD, from any region, on any American TV no matter what is the video format: PAL or NTSC, without the stretching effect in anamorphic discs.   • The XV-M5GSL features a dual wavelength pickup for playback of CD-RW as well as CD-R discs. It is also compatible with three digital audio and digital still image formats: MP3, WMA and JPEG. So you can play back MP3 and WMA music files on CD-R or CD-RW that you have ripped from your CDs. Digital camera enthusiasts can play back on their TV screens JPEG image files stored on CD-R or CD-RW.

• Digital Direct Progressive Scan Output
  • Direct conversion of NTSC DVD's 24 fps (frames per second) into double-density progressive 60 fps allows natural and smooth images with less noise and higher resolution. No Frame Blending occurs for blur-free images. Progressive Scan Output, "Digital Direct" can produce the video output at twice the conventional speed to allow the direct conversion of DVD's 24fps into progressive 60fps for display on your TV, thereby avoiding the quality disadvantages of I/P conversion.
