The Elite flagship DV-79AVi DVD Player is built to deliver an unsurpassed audio and video experience. This high-end player supports HD upconversion through its HDMI connection, modified to region free with the ability to automatically or manually select regions. This is one of few DVD players that is "UOP OFF" (User Operation Prohibited), which means that you can fast forward through FBI warnings and annoying previews. This region-free DVD player can play PAL or NTSC DVDs. It does not have a built in converter, so you will need a multi-system monitor/TV or an additional external Video Converter to be able to play both PAL and NTSC DVDs. For example, if you live in the USA, you will only be able to view PAL Region-2 DVDs from Europe if your monitor/TV can display a PAL signal.
